At Saltine Communications, we secure affordable media features and press interviews for startups and SMEs across newspapers, online publications, magazines, television or radio.

We are looking for an effective communicator, a confident writer and a resourceful, meticulous team player with experience in media pitching and client management. Ideally, you are well‑versed in current affairs, able to persuade and influence with your writing, and a people’s person who excels at building relationships with clients and journalists. Basic management, leadership and copyediting skills are also necessary.

Ideal Candidate

We want a proactive, innovative communicator with experience in media pitching and client management who can demonstrate initiative, accountability and a deep understanding of client accounts and industry trends.

Responsibilities

Lead client campaigns from start to finish and execute day‑to‑day workflow : media pitching, database extraction, media liaison with the team
Develop and maintain mailings, product launch timelines, campaign timelines, strategic decks, media lists, status reports and coverage updates
Guide and mentor junior PR strategists through training, management and delegation
Maintain client relationships and counsel clients on strategic PR direction
Research new developments, trends and opportunities in the media and broader industry
Monitor and engage media and interest groups on behalf of clients
Craft effective PR materials : media pitches, press releases, spokesperson profiles, fact sheets, etc.
Pitch relevant stories and key media contacts to secure top‑tier media opportunities, including brand, profile and product stories
Build and maintain relationships with media contacts
Organise and execute media events and tours
Ensure quality work is produced on time without errors
Serve as a brand ambassador for Saltine Communications

Requirements

Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in PR / marketing client management

Excellent written and oral communication skills, adaptable to all levels

Ability to manage multiple campaigns / deliverables simultaneously

Works well under pressure to meet deadlines and targets

Impeccable writing skills and strong networking ability with media and journalists

Experience managing a small team and client expectations in an agency environment
