Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Smart Technology will lead and manage the delivery of smart technology and digital innovation projects across PTP. This position plays a strategic role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals. The role involves managing resources, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations to support PTP’s smart port transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project & Functional Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee technology projects to ensure timely delivery within approved budgets and quality standards.
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation to closure, including documentation, risk management, and progress reporting.
- Ensure development and deployment activities meet organizational goals and system requirements.
2. Budget & Resource Management
Manage project budgets and ensure effective cost control measures.Identify, allocate, and manage technical and human resources efficiently.Track all project-related expenses and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.3. Risk & Compliance Management
Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact cost, timeline, or quality.Ensure all project activities comply with statutory, legal, and safety regulations.Maintain adherence to IT and Information Security policies.4. Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and government agencies.Translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver practical solutions.Build strong partnerships with IT Business Partners to ensure alignment with PTP’s business direction.5. Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage contractors and consultants effectively to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.Review and validate contractual claims, provide recommendations, and monitor SLA adherence.6. Governance & Reporting
Provide regular project progress updates to senior management, including budget utilization and performance metrics.Ensure all documentation (plans, procedures, and financials) is up to date and accessible.Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.PMP, Prince2, or Six Sigma certification preferred.Minimum 3 years’ experience managing complex technology projects in a multi-functional environment.Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and presentation at senior levels.Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.High efficiency in time management and strong analytical thinking.Competencies
