Responsibilities

Transaction Execution : Assist the Head of ECM and Directors in the end-to-end execution of ECM transactions (IPOs, placements, rights issues, convertible offerings), including drafting documents, coordinating processes, and managing settlement.
Origination Support : Prepare high-quality proposals, pitchbooks, underwriting memos, and transaction documents to support client pitches and origination efforts. Collaborate with other Maybank IB / Group teams on joint marketing initiatives and maintain updated in-house databases to track market activity and opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement : Support the team in developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, regulators, stockbrokers, and internal committees / Board members. Arrange and coordinate meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and prepare the necessary documents for effective engagement.
Governance & Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and controls. Liaise with regulators, Compliance Supervision, and Risk Management departments, while keeping team members updated on relevant policies and regulations.

Requirements

Preferably experience in investment banking, equity capital markets, research, equity sales, or private equity.

Strong understanding of financial markets and the needs of corporates and investors.

Solid skills in financial analysis, valuation, and research methodologies.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to prepare compelling client materials.

Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Strong teamwork, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
