Job description

Responsibility

  • Coordinate and lead the fieldwork team in performing end-to-end internal audits, covering planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up
  • Execute stock reconciliations, cash count analysis, and reviews of voided or cancelled transactions, while monitoring store compliance and ensuring the proper execution of bank-in procedures by the operations team
  • Prepare detailed audit working papers, findings, and recommendations for review by the superior
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct special case investigations at store level to address operational discrepancies and ensure adherence to company protocols.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management with clarity and impact.
  • Perform any other work as and when required by Assistant Manager / Manager

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • Candidates with a Diploma and 3-5 years of relevant experience, or those holding relevant certifications with over 5 years of experience (preferably in the retail industry), are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ACL) and exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities; able to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple audits and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Good command of Mathematics, English & Malay language.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively, including outstation assignments as required.
