Mechanical Designer / Drafter

Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Designer and Draftsman to join our team. This position is essential in supporting our design-to-production workflow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and production-ready furniture models and technical drawings using CAD / CAM software for CNC machining operations. Key Responsibilities : -Develop precise 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for furniture and cabinetry products.   -Convert interior design concepts into CNC-ready production files.   -Use CAD / CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArtCAM, Cohoom, aihouse etc.) to create models optimized for machining.   -Collaborate closely with the design, production, and CNC teams to ensure all outputs meet production and quality standards.   -Update and maintain drawing libraries and documentation according to project requirements.   -Conduct revisions and modifications based on feedback from production or clients.   -Ensure all designs comply with company standards, tolerances, and material specifications. Requirements : -Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Industrial Design, or a related field.   -Proven experience in furniture drafting or mechanical design using CAD / CAM software.   -Familiarity with CNC operations and furniture production processes.   -Strong attention to detail, technical precision, and time management.   -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.   -Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.   Bonus Skills (Preferred) : -Experience in the interior design or cabinetry industry.   -Knowledge of materials like melamine, plywood, laminate, etc.   -Familiarity with nesting software for CNC optimization.
