Job description

Join our IT Infrastructure team at Hyppies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We have three senior database administrator openings that focus on performance, reliability, and automation.

Senior Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and maintain Oracle Database environments across production and disaster recovery sites.
Perform installation, configuration, backup / recovery, and performance tuning.
Implement and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.
Troubleshoot complex performance issues and optimize SQL queries.
Ensure database security, patch management, and version upgrades.

Requirements :

7+ years of hands‑on Oracle DBA experience.

Strong knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, and performance tuning.

Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, or later.

Exposure to Oracle Cloud or automation tools (Ansible, Python) is an advantage.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) preferred.

Senior Exadata DBA

Key Responsibilities :

Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata Database Machines.

Manage storage cells, compute nodes, and network configurations.

Implement and monitor patching, upgrades, and backups using RMAN.

Perform Exadata health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for system integration and performance optimization.

Requirements :

7+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with at least 3 years managing Exadata environments.

Strong expertise in Exadata architecture, CellCLI, and dcli commands.

Deep understanding of Oracle RAC, ASM, and database performance tuning.

Experience with automation and scripting tools (Shell, Ansible, Python).

Oracle Exadata Certified Implementation Specialist is a plus.

Senior MS SQL DBA

Key Responsibilities :

Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016 and above).

Perform installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.

Manage AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Replication, and Log Shipping.

Develop and implement backup / recovery strategies and disaster recovery plans.

Support application teams in SQL query optimization and database design.

Requirements :

7+ years of hands‑on MS SQL DBA experience in enterprise environments.

Proficient in HA / DR configuration, index tuning, and query optimization.

Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation tools.

Familiarity with Azure SQL Database or other cloud‑based DB platforms is an advantage.

Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate preferred.
