Role

Accountable for the good functioning and performance of the team.

Structure the team to meet business goals and time frames.

Ensure the development processes are optimal.

Responsibilities

Build, mentor, and grow a team of 6-8 engineers, QA & DevOps.

Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment.

Define architecture for new projects, ensure availability, resilience, and scalability of all solutions.

Identify technical risks throughout the systems development lifecycle and suggest mitigation options.

Work in an Agile / Scrum environment; plan and execute within iterations and sprints.

Ensure code quality and advocate for Clean Code, Code metrics, Test Driven / Behavior-Driven Development.

Team Culture

Collaborate with EU team & cross-functional agile teams.

Work with Product Management to understand customer needs & desired application capabilities.

Manage upwards, qualify timelines, and challenge project urgency.

Must Have

5+ years in a leadership role.

Motivating, hiring, growing, and guiding engineers.

Nice to have

Experience with Cloud : Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Location

Hybrid : 3 days a week in the office - Central KL.
