Job Description

Lead and oversee the QA processes for multiple projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables within tight timelines.

Design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks from scratch using Cypress. Implementing it in CI / CD pipelines using GitLab is a bonus.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar solutions, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Automating the API testing using Newman or other solutions is a bonus.

Mentor and guide team members in QA best practices, automation strategies, and testing methodologies.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and refine testing requirements.

Develop and document detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Execute the test cases manually and plan for test automation where applicable. After the test cases are manually executed, develop the test automation scripts to be run as regression tests where required, and maintain / monitor the automated test scripts.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing.

Proven experience in developing E2E test automation frameworks using Cypress. Exposure and working knowledge with other test automation tools is a plus.

Strong applied knowledge of version control systems (Git).

Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.

Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience mentoring and upskilling team members in QA and automation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, open-source software, and Linux / UNIX based platforms (including cloud environments e.g. AWS) is a plus.

Ability to read / write code in any programming language is a plus.

Willing to work onsite on a contract basis.
