Job Description : A) Purpose / Scope
Oversight & Implementation : -
- Assist the GM in formulating strategies and lead the execution of key sales, marketing, pricing, and supply chain strategies to achieve volume and margin targets.
- Oversee the successful execution of product development and optimisation projects.
B) Special Aspect (Market & People)
Development & High-Level Response : -
Drive the division's capability building and succession planning.Oversee the competitive response planning and maintain high-level professional networks for strategic intelligence.C) Marketing Strategy
Detailed Planning & Tactical Approval : -
Develop comprehensive annual and quarterly sales and marketing plans based on the GM's strategy.Review and approve tactical sales initiatives and counter-measures against competitors.D) Market Intelligence (MI)
Functional Management & Regional Opportunities : -
Manage the end-to-end Market Intelligence function.Analyze comprehensive MI reports to identify major, high-value local and regional business opportunities across the group BUs.E) Sales Report
Divisional Accountability & Budget Approval : -
Accountable for the overall achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and shared objectives.Review and approve proposed changes to existing plans and operating budgets.F) Sales Negotiation
High-Stakes Leadership & Structure Approval : -
Lead major, high-stakes sales negotiations.Approve final pricing structures, large-quantity terms, and optimum product specifications to maximise profit margins.G) Capability Building
Framework Design & Succession Planning : -
Design and implement capability frameworks and formal internal succession plans for the division.Act as a senior mentor to the Senior Manager team.H) Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Tier 1 Relationship Management & System Oversight : -
Manage strategic relationships with Tier 1 stakeholders (Govt. agencies, key business institutions).Ensure division-wide CRM adoption and data integrity.Oversee high-priority payment collection issues.I) Mindset, Behaviour and Culture
Implementation Leadership : -
Lead the implementation of culture / value interventions, tools, and methodologies across the entire Distribution Division to instil a high sense of commitment and integrity.K) Others
Perform other high-level, ad-hoc jobs and responsibilities assigned by the General Manager.Requirements :
Possesses at least a recognised University Degree in the relevant field of business studies.At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in Sales function with leadership capacity.Experience of at least eight (8) years in the trading / distribution industry is a plus point.Experience managing a Sales function and complete cycle of Sales activities from prospecting, selling, closing sales, planning for continuous improvement / analysis, and Customer Relationship Management. Track record of building, motivating and delivering results from the team effort.
