Join to apply for the Engineer I - Product role at Microchip Technology Inc. We are seeking a high morale, passionate new colleague to join our dynamic team as a product engineer. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues that arise with our products, and improving existing product quality.

Responsibilities

Product support / maintenance : Handle product sustaining activities including driving product performance. Provide engineering support and oversight to resolve manufacturing and quality-related issues with existing products.
Issue Investigation : Collaborate with worldwide teams to investigate and understand root causes of product issues and failures.
Evaluation and Analysis : Assess and analyze data based on available information to diagnose issues and drive resolution processes.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions. Contribute to knowledge bases / guides for future reference.
Collaboration : Provide fast feedback to the production line in case of deviation and issue identification.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education : Bachelor\'s degree in a related engineering discipline.

Problem-solving abilities : Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for solving technical challenges.

Critical-thinking skills : Ability to assess risks and identify root causes of complex problems.

Communication Skills : Strong English communication skills in written and verbal form to effectively collaborate with worldwide team members.

Adaptability and learning mindset : Openness to learning, guidance, and adapting to new technologies and processes in a dynamic technical environment.

Willingness to learn and stretch competencies.

Attention to Detail : Detail-oriented for accurately documenting issues, steps taken, and solutions provided.

Team Player : Eagerness to work in a team setting, collaborate, and learn from experienced team members.
