Fund Reporting - (Assistant Manager / Manager)

About the Opportunity

An established regional asset management firm is seeking a highly motivated professional to join its Fund Reporting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading financial institution that manages a broad range of unit trust and wholesale funds while building your expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements and supporting workings for Unit Trust and Wholesale Funds.
  • Coordinate with external auditors on annual financial statements, including preparing and providing audit confirmations.
  • Develop income distribution proposals in accordance with each Fund's Prospectus and address related queries from stakeholders.
  • Calculate and review tax vouchers for income distributions, as well as prepare initial and revised tax estimates for IRB submission.
  • Verify fees accruals and compute final tax expenses at financial year end.
  • Draft and update procedures for Fund closures, terminations, and maturities.
  • Establish and maintain methodologies for income distribution calculations and terminology.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update reporting procedures to ensure compliance with disclosure and accounting standards.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years' experience in Asset Management, Trustee, or Unit Trust companies.
  • Solid understanding of unit trust reporting processes and relevant accounting standards.
  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with excellent time management to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, with strong stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Team-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
