Overview

The Head of MARCOM is responsible for leading development and execution of the Brand strategies for the Malaysian Market. The marketing function focuses on the development and execution of local Marketing strategies to build brand equity and drive growth for KK Supermart.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategy & Brand Management

  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications strategy aligned with KK Supermart’s business goals.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty programs to increase brand affinity.
  • Oversee creative design elements and ensure adherence to KK Supermart’s corporate identity (CI).

Digital & Traditional Marketing

  • Lead omnichannel marketing efforts, including social media, website, digital advertising, SEO / SEM, and e-commerce marketing.
  • Plan and manage traditional marketing campaigns, including print, OOH (out-of-home), and in-store promotions.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitors to refine marketing strategies.
  • Public Relations & Corporate Communications

  • Act as the brand spokesperson and manage media relations, press releases, and corporate announcements.
  • Develop PR strategies to enhance KK Supermart’s brand reputation and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Manage crisis communication and reputation management strategies.
  • Customer Engagement & Loyalty Programs

  • Design and implement customer engagement initiatives, loyalty programs, and promotional activities.
  • Enhance in-store marketing efforts to improve customer experience and sales performance.
  • Leverage data analytics to track customer behavior and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Team Leadership & Budget Management

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing and communications team.
  • Develop annual marketing budgets and track ROI for all campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree
  • Minimum 10 years of brand management experience.
  • Media Agency experience will be a plus.
  • Managed a category or country in an FMCG company, and has solid experience in food products, category management, brand development, communication plan development for campaigns, digital marketing and social media marketing.
  • Marketing expertise is essential in all its dimensions, strategic and operational.
