Department Focus

Enterprise Integration Department focuses on systems integration within the entire ROCKWOOL Group. Delivering, maintaining and governing internal and external integration services on modern, flexible technologies and platforms.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead – Application Integration to oversee a team of integration specialists. This role combines technical expertise with strong people leadership. The successful candidate will manage and mentor the team, lead integration projects, design integration solutions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results. The role involves providing guidance, instruction, and direction while managing capacity, resource allocation, and fostering a collaborative and empowering team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide both technical and people leadership to the talented Application Integration Developers located in Asia and Europe.
  • Offer guidance, instruction, and direction to ensure effective team performance.
  • Conduct resource allocation and capacity planning to support ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
  • Empower team members through mentorship, coaching, and career development.
  • Create a pleasant and inclusive working environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Identify and address skill gaps within the team through structured development and training.

Technical Leadership & Project Delivery

  • Serve as the technical expert and solution designer for integration initiatives.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end integration projects, ensuring alignment with architecture standards and business requirements.
  • Participate hands‑on in solution design, development, and troubleshooting of integration components.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure the success of integration solutions.
  • Promote and implement integration best practices, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and security.
  • Performance Management & Feedback

  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews to assess individual and team progress.
  • Provide both technical and behavioral feedback to enhance overall effectiveness.
  • Recognize high performers and develop improvement plans for underperformers.
  • Escalation & Issue Resolution

  • Handle and resolve escalations efficiently with minimal business impact.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on integration‑related issues.
  • Coordinate across teams to resolve complex technical challenges while meeting agreed service timelines.
  • Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to integration development standards and governance practices.
  • Continuously monitor and improve integration of delivery processes and outcomes.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and quality orientation.
  • What You Offer

    Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Strong hands‑on experience with application integration technologies and platforms (e.g., Informatica, Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of APIs, middleware, ESB, message queues, and event‑driven architecture.
  • Capable of designing integration solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Familiar with modern integration patterns (REST, SOAP, EDI, batch, CDC, streaming, etc.).
  • Proven experience in leading integration projects from design to deployment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application integration, including at least 3 years in a leadership or team‑lead capacity.
  • Proven track record as a technical lead or solution designer in integration projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering integration projects.
  • Experience managing and mentoring technical teams across multiple domains and countries.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices is a plus.
  • Fluently communicating in English (verbally and writing).
  • Open mind and positive can‑do attitude.
  • Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Willing to travel.
