Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design of large‑scale, transmission‑connected simple‑cycle or combined‑cycle power generation projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, both locally and in the United States, to develop comprehensive and detailed design documentation and project deliverables
- Provide technical and engineering support throughout the construction phase, ensuring design integrity and compliance with project standards
- Contribute to the development of integrated energy solutions that encompass thermal, renewable energy, and energy storage systems
- Partner with clients to support their transition toward renewable energy and implement demand‑side management strategies
- Help drive the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions that address evolving global energy challenges
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a related disciplineMaster’s Degree is an advantageProfessional Engineer (P.E.) certification is desirableRegistered with the Board of Engineers in Malaysia (BEM) is requiredMinimum 15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design, preferably in simple‑cycle and / or combined‑cycle gas turbine generation projectsProven expertise in power system design, protection and control, SCADA or power system automationDemonstrated experience in power system modelling using ETAP, Power Tools, or similar simulation softwareStrong technical writing, communication, and coordination skillsWorking knowledge of U.S. electrical design codes and standards is a strong assetApplication Notes
