Job description

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Post Production team in your region, ensuring performance, collaboration, and accountability standards are met.
  • Conduct regular 1 : 1s to provide feedback, support professional development, and monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Manage the KPI process, ensuring clear expectations, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify recruitment needs and support the hiring and onboarding of new team members.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive team culture aligned with Side values.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Post Production to align team goals with broader departmental strategy.
  • Be on-site as required to supervise staff, support project delivery, and maintain team cohesion.

TEAM OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT

  • Supervise the output of your post team, ensuring every Post project is accurate and delivered on time.
  • Monitor and manage team workloads, addressing issues proactively and escalating to the Head of Post Production when necessary.
  • Review and approve team activity hours, flagging any concerns or inconsistencies, including overtime.
  • Lead and participate in team meetings to align on post-production requirements, priorities, and updates.
  • Ensure the team adheres to best practices in post-production workflows, tools, and documentation.
  • Maintain, log and update post-production hardware and software in your region, coordinating with IT and technical teams as needed.
  • PROCESS & SERVICE DEVELOPMENT

  • Evaluate and implement improvements to post-production services, workflows, and tools in collaboration with global teams.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and adopt new technologies.
  • Collaborate with other regional management and global leadership to ensure consistency and scalability of post-production practices across regions.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff to support skill development and maintain quality standards.
  • While not directly managing individual projects, provide oversight and support to ensure successful delivery across all post-production work.
  • Liaise with clients and production teams to advise on best practices for post-production deliverables.
  • Step into production-level responsibilities when required, particularly for high-priority or complex situations, ensuring client expectations are met.

  • Requirements

    Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of audio post-production workflows, including dialogue editing, sound design, mastering, and QA.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and their application in production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-standard tools such as Pro Tools, Reaper, Audition, and iZotope RX.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Teams, and Word.
  • Understanding of localisation workflows and managing multilingual content across global projects.
  • Awareness of team capacity management
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of management experience in a commercial post-production environment, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple projects across large volumes of files and languages.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, providing strategic guidance and ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
  • Proven track record of mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and driving team development.
  • Hands-on experience with project tracking, resource planning and allocation, and workflow optimisation.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to a global service.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on team development and performance management.
