Warehouse Supervisor

Job descriptionExperience : Previous experience in warehouse operations, particularly in receiving, shipping, and inventory. Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team-building qualities to motivate and direct staff. Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with staff and management. Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain an orderly work environment. Technical Proficiency : Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and potentially Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) like SAP. Certifications : Ability to obtain certifications for operating powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts. Education : A high school diploma or GED is typically required, with a degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management being a plus.
Responsibilities
- Receiving Operations : Oversee the unloading and accurate processing of incoming shipments, ensuring all items are received promptly and correctly.
- Put-Away & Storage : Coordinate the efficient put-away of received products into their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Safety & Security : Implement and enforce all safety and security procedures within the receiving area and warehouse.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure that all inbound operations comply with quality assurance guidelines and maintain proper controls, such as temperature control.
