Responsibilities

• Develop a close working relationship with local government officials i.e. Police Force Department, Fire & Rescue Department and Special Service Department.
• Coordinate with other departments in handling emergency situations to ensure the security of visitors, co-workers and contractors in the mall; develop leadership with a conscious approach to identifying and implementing systems to detect, analyse, and reduce business loss, financial impact, and prevent incidents and accidents.
• Conduct risk assessments for all business functions.
• Manage and provide monthly reporting on the performance of outsourced security guards and the auxiliary police unit.
• Lead the Security department in all aspects of security controls and systems in compliance with MyTOWN’s safety & security procedures.
• Manage and monitor the functionality of the Fire Control Room and all systems in place (Fire Protection System, PA System, Fire-Man Intercom, CCTV, Lift & Elevator controls, etc.); ensure servicing, checklist reports, follow-up and closure are compiled accordingly.
• Enforce all safety and fire rules in the mall (e.g., Sec-Check inspection and audit). Develop and implement strategies for continuous security improvement in the mall.
• Be responsible for the overall CAPEX and OPEX budget planning for the security department.
• Handle, investigate and prepare timely reports of any safety & security incidents in the mall; review Loss and Found reports and take follow-up action when necessary.
• Ensure high security across all areas under surveillance and drive risk topics regarding potential operational challenges; implement crowd management plans, traffic plans, process gaps, and risk exposure.
• Ensure the unit meets compliance requirements by achieving positive results for internal and external audits (e.g., Sec Check, insurance, process audits, authorities’ inspections) and coordinate with the unit Emergency Response Team and management for handling emergencies according to the Emergency Management Plan.
• Ensure all Auxiliary Police units and Security Personnel are trained and familiar with firefighting procedures, theft handling procedures, bomb threats, incident threats, etc., in line with MyTOWN’s Safety & Security procedures and government rules.
• Educate and ensure all co-workers and external service providers on Code of Conduct, Anti-corruption & Bribery Policy, operational procedures, and local legislation related to health, safety, security, and the environment; promote transparency and ethical conduct.
