Job description

Job Roles :

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of IoT sensors / devices, ensuring seamless deployment and optimal performance.
  • Conduct advanced testing on IoT devices, identifying and resolving issues related to hardware, firmware, and software .
  • Perform root cause analysis on device hardware components, including PCB circuits, firmware, and software, and develop solutions for complex technical issues.
  • Manage and oversee data communication infrastructure , including network configurations, server setups, and equipment calibration to ensure system efficiency.
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance and troubleshooting strategies to enhance IoT device reliability and longevity.
  • Provide high-level customer support, training, and consultation to clients on IoT device usage, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Document and analyze system performance data, generating detailed reports on installations, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, advising internal teams and customers on IoT system architecture, deployment strategies, and emerging technologies .
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support successful project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and team growth.
  • Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise in pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, and solution design .
  • Oversee and support field operations at multiple sites, primarily Selangor, Penang, and Kedah , ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Principal Accountabilities :

  • Lead IoT device and sensor deployment, maintenance, and performance optimization .
  • Define and manage IoT device specifications, documentation, and best practices .
  • Serve as the primary technical support escalation point for existing IoT customers.
  • Drive innovation and support new IoT product development initiatives .
  • Ensure smooth integration and functionality of IoT solutions across different environments.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, IT, RF, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IoT system integration, field service engineering, or technical support.
  • Proven expertise in IoT technologies, embedded systems, and geolocation systems .
  • Strong understanding of RF technologies (UWB, BLE, Wi-Fi), networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Firewalls, Switches, Routers), and server configurations .
  • Hands-on experience in hardware diagnostics, PCB circuit troubleshooting, firmware upgrades, and system monitoring .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex IoT issues independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interaction and technical training.
  • Ability to work on-site across multiple locations ( Selangor, Penang, and Kedah ) with a willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience supporting business development, sales, or pre-sales activities is an added advantage.
