Job description

What you'll be doing?

  • Policy Development : Assist in creating, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across departments and compliance with labor laws.
  • Compensation Management : Support the management of compensation frameworks and employee benefits, including market benchmarking and internal allowance programme reviews.
  • Recruitment and Selection : Manage the full cycle recruitment process, from job design to onboarding, working closely with hiring managers to forecast talent needs.
  • Employee Relations : Support the handling of employee relations issues, including grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
  • Compliance and Work Environment : Contribute to maintaining a positive working environment and ensure compliance with labor legislation.
  • Project Participation : Engage in HR-related projects such as policy reviews, digital HR solutions, and process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Employee Engagement : Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, collecting feedback to enhance employee experience.
  • Record Keeping : Maintain accurate employee records, support HRIS updates, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Operational Support : Provide operational and administrative support to the HR function as required.

Who are they looking for?

  • Educational Background : A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR Experience : At least five years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Legal Knowledge : Solid understanding of Malaysian Employment Act and related employment practices.
  • Leadership Potential : Demonstrated leadership capability is preferred, but not essential.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving : A team player with strong problem-solving skills, results-driven attitude, and proactive approach.
  • Multi-tasking Abilities : Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Confidentiality : Proficient and trustworthy in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Language Proficiency : Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to facilitate communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills : Good computer literacy for efficient handling of HR systems and processes.
