Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead sales and marketing activities for our building materials portfolio across Malaysia, mainly in Klang Valley. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry, a proven track record in achieving sales targets, and the ability to drive business growth through effective customer engagement, market analysis, and team leadership.
- Drive sales and marketing activities for building materials across Malaysia, ensuring strong market presence and brand positioning.
- Achieve assigned sales budgets and targets by closely following up on customer requirements, monitoring order progress, and delivering excellent customer service.
- Conduct and compile market intelligence reports, including product performance, industry trends, and competitor analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
- Expand customer base by identifying, engaging, and securing new key accounts.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to capture market opportunities and achieve business growth.
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the building materials sector.
- Build, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, contractors, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to consistently achieve performance goals.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely sales reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders / customers to ensure efficient and seamless sales operations.
- Increase market share by delivering tailored solutions that meet customers’ needs.
- Ensure timely collection of payments to support healthy cash flow.
- Undertake any other duties or projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Business, Marketing or an equivalent field.At least 7 years of proven sales experience in the building materials or construction industry, with a strong track record in a managerial role.Experienced and well-versed in the construction sector, with solid exposure to building materials purchasing and supply chain practices.Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Results-oriented with a strong drive for business growth and customer satisfaction.Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is an added advantage.Valid driving license with own transport; willing to travel extensively across Malaysia.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to perform under pressure with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
