Job descriptionCloud Infrastructure Management – Deploy, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Server Administration – Manage Linux / Windows servers on AWS, including patching, backups, and performance tuning. Networking & Security – Design and maintain VPCs, VPNs, firewalls, and security groups to ensure secure connectivity and compliance. Disaster Recovery & High Availability – Implement backup strategies, failover solutions, and disaster recovery plans. Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Monitor system performance and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime. Cost Optimization – Analyse and optimize AWS resource usage for cost efficiency. Collaboration with Teams – Work closely with software, DevOps, and security teams to provide stable environments for applications. Documentation – Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate Windows Server Hybrid Administrator – Associate
Key Requirements for the Role
- AWS Expertise : Hands-on experience with services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Server Administration : Strong background in Linux / Windows server setup, configuration, and management.
- Networking Knowledge : Solid understanding of DNS, VPN, load balancers, and firewalls within AWS cloud environments.
- Security : Familiarity with IAM policies, security groups, GuardDuty, and AWS security best practices.
- Scripting : Basic Knowledge in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.
- Monitoring : Experience with CloudWatch or similar monitoring / logging tools to ensure system reliability.
- Compliance & Governance : Awareness of ISO, SOC 2, or PCI DSS requirements in cloud infrastructure.
- Database Management : Skilled in RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and database performance tuning.
- DevOps Collaboration : Exposure to CI / CD workflows and integration with infrastructure.
