Description

As a Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our global operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering robust technical solutions that support long-term growth and with a focus on security.

This role forms part of our global Platform and Security Operations team, based out of our APAC hub in Kuala Lumpur.

On a typical day, you'll be…

  • Monitoring and responding to helpdesk tickets, and responding to endpoint, server and network issues
  • Monitoring and analysing alerts and network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats
  • Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Responding to and investigating cybersecurity breaches and incidents
  • Identifying emerging compliance requirements and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats
  • Ensuring change management processes are followed
  • Assisting external support companies and strategic partners

To be brilliant in this role, you'll have...

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of system security, networking, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft Defender, Intune, SQL and MS Sentinel)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls and security technologies
  • String knowledge of IT policy frameworks and risk management
  • A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with emerging technologies.
