Project Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer

Lead the design, review, and improvement of electrical systems and equipment for solar energy applications across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects.

Oversee and manage SPPIF and SPPFA electrical works, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

Direct and coordinate the overall process for BE, IOD, and COD, ensuring projects meet all technical, safety, and operational standards.

Supervise the preparation of electrical system designs, technical drawings, and system specifications in line with industry standards.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Ensure project compliance with local authority requirements, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, and international electrical codes.

Manage installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities for solar and electrical projects.

Conduct risk assessments, technical reviews, and quality assurance checks on electrical systems and works.

Prepare and validate project cost estimations, budgets, and technical reports for management review.

Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and clients to facilitate project approvals and smooth execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Team-oriented with a proactive attitude toward assigned tasks
• Experience with or willingness to learn engineering and design software
• Solid knowledge of electrical codes and engineering standards
• Strong skills in technical design and calculations
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin
