Job Title : Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Cloud Engineering team in Cyberjaya. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of mission‑critical systems and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure expertise with software engineering skills to automate and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain system availability, latency, performance, and capacity across enterprise environments.
Design, deploy, and manage cloud platform solutions throughout their lifecycle — from design to operation and continuous improvement.
Treat operations as a software problem — code and automate repetitive tasks to enhance system efficiency and stability.
Support pre‑production and post‑deployment phases, ensuring reliable service launches and ongoing system health monitoring.
Automate deployments and workflows using CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
Work with open‑source technologies, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and version control systems (Bitbucket, GitHub).
Ensure regulatory and security compliance in all deployments and cloud operations.
Continuously evolve systems and services to improve reliability, scalability, and deployment velocity.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands‑on experience with VMware technologies (NSX‑T, vRealize Suite, vSphere / vCenter).

Expertise in patch management for OS and middleware (Windows, RedHat, WebSphere, WebLogic, MSSQL).

Experience creating and maintaining VMware server templates (Windows, RedHat).

Proven experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and configuration management tools.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, YAML, Batch).

Solid understanding of CI / CD pipelines, version control, and change management processes.

Hands‑on experience with DevOps and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Selenium, SOAPUI, Bamboo, Marvin, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Ability to debug, optimize, and automate system processes.

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
