Job description

Job Purpose

  • Ensuring industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably to support continuous manufacturing activities.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems and fix them with urgency.
  • Improve machine layout to enhance performance.
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs.
  • Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machineries at factory.
  • Provide technical support and training on new equipment.
  • Manage stocks of supplies and equipment.
  • Provide training to enhance competency of Maintenance Technicians.
  • Liaise with related personnel and Governmental bodies (DOE, DOSH) to ensure compliance with related regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.

    • Education

  • Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

    • Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, environmental standards and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and system.

    • Other Essential Attributes

  • High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
  • Ability to read system schematics.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment.
