A manufacturing engineering manager is responsible for the overall function of the manufacturing processes for a company. In this role, you need to lead the Manufacturing Engineering Department, which includes New Product Introduction, new line setup, product transfer, process development and optimization, continuous improvement, engineering change control, etc.
What you will do :
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering Department, which includes New Product Introduction, new line setup, product transfer, process development and optimization, continuous improvement, engineering change control, etc.
- Work with product engineers / tooling team to define manufacturing processes.
- Work with all relevant functions to ensure manufacturing line readiness.
- Provide ME support to operations for smooth day-to-day manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- OEE (Operation Efficiency) improvement (ie. up-time, throughput, scrap rate, etc.)
- Identify and drive OPEX Labor savings projects to support annual cost savings budget.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and other Lean activities for continuous improvement.
- Actively support new business pursuit by participating in the design phase and leading the manufacturing phase of the Product Development Process (Phase / Gate)
- Drive standardization of manufacturing processes.
- Lead automation for new and existing programs.
- Responsible for team capability growth.
- Define manufacturing process technology roadmap.
- Conduct training / coaching of MEs.
- Manage the conflict between customer program execution and standard product capability growth.
- Define ME KPIs and review them regularly.
- Other assigned tasks.

Bachelor's degree, major in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or automationStrong communication skillsExcellent oral and written English skills.10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in CNC precision partmachining and electro-mechanical part assembly environment5+ years of NPI and engineering management experience (leading people experience)Expertise with Lean / Six Sigma Manufacturing, 5S, and Root Cause AnalysisBe familiar with quality system such as ISO9001 / QS9000 / IATF16949Motor manufacturing experience is a plus.
