Job Title : Subtitle Editor (Subtitler) – Location : Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The main role of a subtitle editor is to proofread / edit subtitle files based on client requirements and guidelines. Editors provide files that are qualified for delivery and on time, and they evaluate freelancers' performance and provide feedback when necessary.

Responsibilities

Editing and proofreading Bahasa Malaysia translations, subtitles, and scripts to ensure linguistic and technical accuracy.
Providing constructive feedback to freelance translators to maintain and improve overall quality.
Ensuring high-quality output that meets language, grammar, and stylistic standards.
Working efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.

Skills & Experience Required

Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics / Languages or equivalent.

Required languages : English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Extensive knowledge of English grammar and fluency in speaking and writing English.

Excellent proofreading skills, the ability to identify grammar, spelling, punctuation and other linguistic related errors.

Able to work with different stakeholders.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Other Requirements

6 months contract.

Able to start immediately.

Willing to work on a hybrid arrangement.
