Position Summary :

This is a new role based in Kulim High Tech Park, Kedah, supporting our future global projects. You will be a key member of our Regional Engineering Team, enhancing our capabilities in Asia. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Malaysia, you will focus on delivering superior product performance, quality, and technical support, while also leading regional engineering initiatives to improve product capability and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and validate elastomer-to-substrate bonding processes (e.g., rubber-to-metal, rubber-to-plastic).
• Select and evaluate adhesives, primers, and elastomer compounds for compatibility and performance.
• Develop surface preparation protocols to optimize adhesion.
• Characterize bonded joints through mechanical testing and aging studies.
• Support scale-up from prototype to production, including documentation, tooling, and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust bonding processes.
• Investigate bonding failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Stay updated on advancements in elastomeric materials and bonding technologies.
