Assistant Vice President, Business Development
Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hybrid role – required to work at least three days a week in the Marsh office.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales goals by maintaining and gaining large, high-yield accounts through referrals, strategic cold calls, following up on RFPs, market exposure and frequent interactions with existing accounts.
- Maintain thorough awareness of market occurrences including important developments, trends, competitors' positioning and business contract status to identify potential opportunities.
- Draft comprehensive due diligence reports and presentations containing qualitative and quantitative assessments in response to RFP or to assist senior colleague to win business.
- Construct targeted marketing plans for business offerings directed at small, straightforward accounts and complex plans for senior colleagues.
- Participate in professional organizations and attend conferences / events to expand and maintain a large professional network and represent Marsh.
- Collect insights on relationship satisfaction and report results to senior colleagues offering context and suggestions to ensure account satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
Degree holder with 6-8 years business development experience, preferably in financial services or insurance broking industry.Passion for sales and networking with corporate professionals.Excellent communication skills, including articulation, grammar, and persuasion.Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities.Strong business acumen and project management with exceptional analytical skills.What makes you stand out
