Senior Cloud Leader (Manager / Architect)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Cloud Leader to join our technology team in Kuala Lumpur. This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and executing our group-wide cloud strategy, driving modernization initiatives, and ensuring our technology landscape is resilient, secure, and future-ready. You will act as a key advisor and strategic partner, guiding major programs and influencing senior leadership to accelerate our journey to cloud-first operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, define, and govern the organization-wide cloud strategy, reference architectures, and target state, with a primary focus on Azure and a secondary focus on AWS.
Lead and support large-scale cloud migration projects, moving from legacy, on-premise infrastructure to modern cloud environments.
Manage and optimize multi-cloud resources for performance, security, cost, and compliance, adhering to both internal standards and external regulations.
Drive DevOps and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, utilizing scripting languages like Python and PowerShell and tools such as Kubernetes.
Oversee key infrastructure domains, including cloud networking (VPCs), security (IAM, data protection), and database management.
Manage and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including senior management and executive leaders, regarding technology roadmaps and project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in a senior technology role, such as a Cloud Architect or Global IT Manager, with significant experience in cloud transformation leadership.

Deep technical knowledge of major cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Demonstrated experience in designing and managing cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure, networking, security, and compliance.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and a strong understanding of DevOps principles and automation tools.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence others and present technical concepts clearly.

Professional cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desired.
