Job description
GL & AP
Handle full spectrum of General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for month-end closing.
Ensure timely and accurate SST filing and compliance with E-invoicing regulations.
Perform GL account reconciliations and resolve any variances.
Coordinate and prepare month-end and year-end financial closing reports.
Monitor and manage AP aging, including vendor payments and staff reimbursement claims.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Liaise with internal departments for supporting documentation and issue resolution.
Support external audit processes, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist in system enhancements.
Train and support junior staff (if applicable).
Requirement :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of working experience in a related field, preferably in a fast-paced industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, SST, and e-invoicing (Malaysian context).
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently under pressure.
Experience in logistics or supply chain industry is an advantage (but not required).
