The Pricing Assistant Director plays a leading role in terms of product management by supporting delivery of thepany's growth strategies through innovative product development, assumption setting, modelling, profit testing, ensuring integrity of the pricing model, meet pricing standards, and ensuring financial integrity within the distribution channelpensation. They are expected to assist the HOP in leading the Pricing department to deliver end to end product pricing inclusive implementation.

The role holder is required to use his / her actuarial knowledge and skills :

  • To assist the HOP in leading the Pricing department across different Pricing teams to roll out deliverables.
  • To be the alternate HOP reference / touch point for other department / division
  • To lead their team and support Supervisor in achieving deliverables working across multiple projects which are maybeplex and out of "traditional" Pricing / Actuarial works.
  • To review the team workings to ensure they are correct, fit for purpose andply with the various standards, requirements and regulations
  • To drive and provide actuarial guidance & insights in developing innovative product with good risk management controls, price profitable andpetitive product while ensuring strict adherence to pricing requirements set by Prudential Group and Bank Negara Malaysia.
  • To lead and provide insights on the development of robust pricing model & process with sound actuarial basis and consistency withpany takaful model, shariah and profitability requirement.
  • To drive actuarial items and provide actuarial guidance & insights to product implementationmittee for timely and effective product implementation
  • To lead and provide insights in implementing cost-effective and efficient retakaful arrangements
  • To ensure product pricing and development ispliance to Local business unit and Group policies as well regulator guidelines.
  • To ensure the pricing approach is based on sound actuarial basis
