Talent & Succession Management Assistant Manager at Saint-Gobain

We are seeking an experienced Senior Retail Sales Executive to drive retail sales performance across the hardware dealer network. The role involves daily visits to retail dealers, ensuring product availability and visibility, conducting product presentations, and strengthening distributor-dealer partnerships. This position requires proactive leadership to support sales strategies, mentor junior sales staff, and ensure effective retail coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit retail hardware dealers daily to maintain strong relationships and promote products.
  • Conduct product presentations and explanations to dealers and their staff.
  • Support and collaborate with distributors during retail dealer visits to drive engagement and sales.
  • Monitor dealer stock levels, product movement, and display quality to ensure brand visibility.
  • Identify new retail opportunities and provide leads to distributors and the sales team.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior sales executives, interns, or promoters when required.
  • Report on retail sales performance, dealer feedback, and competitor activities.
  • Work closely with the sales manager on promotional campaigns, training sessions, and dealer incentives.

Scope of Work

  • Maintain daily contact with hardware dealers to ensure product push and dealer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term relationships to strengthen loyalty and secure repeat sales.

  • Explain and demonstrate product benefits to dealers and end users.
  • Assist in conducting dealer or contractor training sessions.
  • Help align distributor sales strategies with company objectives.

    • Market Development

  • Monitor competitors and market trends, reporting back to management.

    • Team Support & Reporting

  • Mentor junior sales staff and promoters when needed.
  • Provide timely reports on sales visits, outcomes, and market intelligence.
