About the Role :
As the INTHEBLACK Deputy Editor – International based in Malaysia, you will be responsible for :
- Content ideation for INTHEBLACK (digital magazine, website and podcast)
- Commissioning and repurposing content for social media channels
Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across CPA Australia and externally, your will ensure that high quality, relevant INTHEBLACK content is created for key global audiences to deliver against CPA Australia’s organisational strategy and the Learning and Innovation strategy.
Your role responsibilities include :
Contribute to regular editorial committee meetings and seek participation and contribution of key stakeholders and subject matter expertsCreate commissioning briefs, manage relationships with freelance writers and participate in design briefings and meetingsCopytaste articles to meet publication standards, working closely with the Editor, Deputy Editor and subeditorsWork closely with the Editor to implement content marketing strategiesWork closely with the Deputy Editor to work to deadlines in the production schedule and tracking the editorial budgetWork with the Editorial Content Strategist and Editor to ensure all content adheres to the organisation-wide and business unit strategy, objectives and goalsEnsure adherence to publication processes and guidelines, quality assurance documents and other required documentation, such as process guidesChampion the use of Monday.com and other workflow and productivity toolsDevelop and maintain quality working relationships with external vendors, suppliers and agenciesAbout You :
You will come to us with significant, evidenced, practical publication and content creation and editing experience and have a self-starter attitude, a passion for creating great content and a commitment to editorial excellence
You will also have :
Excellent English language skills and strong writing skills, including the ability to distil complex concepts into easily accessible contentA network of business and / or finance writers and experts to contact for articles, podcasts and social media content and the ability to nurture long-term relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholdersA thorough understanding of and ensure compliance with media laws, copyright and publishing industry regulations in Australia and AsiaStrong writing skills, including the ability to distil complex concepts into easily accessible contentStrong organisational and project management skills, including proficiency with digital workflow tools such as Monday.comOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills and attention to detailEvidenced ability to exercise sound editorial judgement under pressure and to meet strict deadlines and measurable objectivesA background in business, finance and / or accounting is advantageousTertiary qualification in journalism, editing, publishing or communications desirableWhy we love working here :
