About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Trademark Associate / Executive to join our Trademarks team in Malaysia. The focus of the role will supporting trademark matters across various jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate handling of filings, correspondence, and prosecution processes.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolios management strategy, trademark prosecution matters, including oppositions and other contentious matters within the Asia jurisdiction.
Conducting clearance searches, advising on filing strategies
Responding to examination reports
Coordinating filings across multiple jurisdictions
Monitoring and tracking crucial deadlines
Performing general administrative duties, maintaining internal records

Key Requirements

A bachelor's degree in law or equivalent qualification.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar trademark role is preferred. Candidates with legal secretary or administrative backgrounds in IP will also be considered.

Proficient in IP management software, Microsoft Office applications, with strong word processing abilities.

A reliable team player with a willingness to work extra hours when required.

Able to work independently and manage pressure effectively while interacting professionally at all levels.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong multitasking capabilities with the ability to handle high workloads.

High attention to detail and flexibility in handling tasks.

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
