Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Entry-level position; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin language, both spoken and written, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and handle related documentation.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance in Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support the team in handling payroll processing.
  • Assist in preparing tax computations and filings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to accounting functions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting software and systems.
  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work on-site in Ipoh.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of full sets of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the tax compliance process by preparing tax schedules and assisting with tax filings.
  • Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and colleagues regarding accounting and tax matters.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks.
