Job description

Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to oversee the Malaysia entity in all aspects, including financial closing, statutory reporting, audit, and taxation.
  • Ensures accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting and forecasts.
  • Responsible for formulating and overseeing the driving of best accounting practices, finance frameworks, and processes to strengthen internal control and ensure compliance over all company transactions.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure alignment and compliance. Support in financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Management of cash flow, working capital, and capex.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals to deliver high-quality results and continuous improvements. Committed to promoting a Diversity, equity, and Inclusion working environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA / CPA / CIMA certified will have an advantage.
  • Knowledgeably of US GAAP and local GAAP.
  • Experience in multinational / global corporation.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in accounting and finance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and driving month-end financial closing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, including senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Proven flexibility and analytical mindset in solving complex financial and operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with strong interpersonal effectiveness
