Position : Clinical Instructor (Dietetics)

Job Requirements :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is mandatory .
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Malaysian Dietitians' Association (MDA) .
  • Willing and able to conduct clinical placement teaching at hospitals as assigned by the department, faculty, or university.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to student development and clinical education.

    • Duties and Responsibilities :

    As a Clinical Instructor , you will play a vital role in shaping future dietetics professionals. Your key responsibilities include :

  • Conduct clinical placement teaching in designated hospitals as assigned by the department, faculty, or university.
  • Provide hands-on clinical guidance and supervision for students during their clinical posting modules, in line with syllabus requirements.
  • Track and monitor student attendance and performance , ensuring consistent progress and professional development.
  • Offer individualized support and mentoring to students throughout their clinical placements, fostering both competence and confidence.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessment of clinical reports, presentations, assignments, and on-site performance ratings.
  • Prepare and submit essential academic documentation , including course mark reports, course performance reports, trimester academic performance reports, and scoring for Pre-BOE and BOE meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of teaching materials , especially those related to clinical modules.
  • Maintain a minimum teaching evaluation score of 3.0 out of 5.0 (above average) on the UTAR teaching scale for all assigned teaching duties.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities as assigned, ensuring smooth operation of academic and clinical activities.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics , in line with university policies and the expectations of the dietetics profession.
  • Carry out any other duties as delegated by the department, faculty, or university in support of institutional goals.
