Role Purpose
The Sales Manager develops the market and promotes WACKER's offerings to customers (distributors) in Malaysia and Singapore. He / She is responsible for gathering market information, including customer insights, trends, market movements, and business communication. The Sales Manager is the key person to bridge the communication between the customer, distributors, and the company to provide accurate information and to obtain customer requirements.
Job Scope
- Responsible for achieving local targets and fulfilling actions as agreed with the busine ss team and local Management for Construction and Coating Industries
- Systematically collect, analyze, and present customer, market, industry trends, and competitor information / data (commercial and technical)
- Develop and implement country-specific business strategies and align them with the business team
- Responsible for identifying and assessing potential new distribution channels in line with the business and logistic strategies
- Responsible for servicing existing customers regularly and developing / acquiring new accounts in their field of responsibility
- Maintain, develop, and enhance customer relationships with existing and potential customers
- In charge of the local rolling forecast and HUB planning
- Monitor customer receivables and credit limits
Job Requirements
BSc in Construction / Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Chemical or any relevant subject areaAt least 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the chemical industry, within the Chemical, Paints, and Coatings and Sealants / AdhesivesExperience in construction materials is advantageousDemonstrated success in business development and securing new business opportunitiesConfident and assertive demeanorGoal-driven and persistentSelf-motivated with a strong desire to explore and develop new markets, applications, and customer relationships
