Role : Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor – Butterworth

Location : Butterworth, Eastern Cape, ZA
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products and increase market share.
- Provide sound financial advice and high-quality client service in a branch context.
- Create opportunities for client optimization and cross-selling of value-added services.
- Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of SRM product ranges.
- Understand customers’ needs and goals, and recommend suitable products in the most affordable way.
- Keep customers informed about new products or changes to existing products and assess implications for the customer portfolio.
- Validate client details in line with product and regulatory requirements and submit new business through the proper channels.
- Conduct due diligence on clients to identify and flag risks.
- Manage daily appointments and accommodate walk-in / non-appointment clients.
In-branch Client Service and Retention
Service and manage all client profiles to maintain ongoing client relationships.Send payment reminders, follow up on queries, and provide ongoing support.Manage NTUs (Not Taken Up) and maintain client payment persistency.Assess client risk profiles to determine where support is needed and coordinate alternative payment arrangements as required.Deliver in-branch service aligned with customer experience standards and assist with policy cancellations or alternatives; escalate queries when needed and provide status updates to clients.Quality, Compliance and Development
Stay current with compliance and quality standards.Maintain product knowledge and CPD requirements; ensure proper documentation of advice.Identify risks and flag potentially fraudulent activity.Record activities as required by regulations and provide data for reporting and decision making.Monthly Planning and Reporting
Report daily activities using relevant technology platforms.Compile data for weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.Fulfill ad-hoc requests from the Retail Branch Manager.Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12).RE5 advantageous.FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.Class of Business training to be completed within 12 months of employment.Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge : client service; sales and cross-selling strategies; understanding of the insurance landscape and regulatory requirements; knowledge of insurance products is advantageous.Experience : 1 year in sales or marketing; experience in insurance branches is an advantage.Skills and Competencies
