CFD Simulation Engineer (m / f / x)

ARRK Engineering is part of the international ARRK Group and specializes in all services related to product development. Within the ARRK Group we implement product development from virtual engineering to prototypes and low‑volume production.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermal simulations in the fields of vehicle interior & exterior, lighting systems, under hood thermal management, HVAC systems.
  • Use CFD tools (Star CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) to solve physics-based problems such as thermal comfort, hydraulics, thermal runaway, aerodynamics and other related phenomena.
  • Conduct validation and verification of simulation results and ensure consistency with experimental data.
  • Develop and deliver detailed simulation analyses and project deliverables.
  • Ensure all engineering tasks comply with company and customer quality standards and processes.
  • Manage assigned engineering deliverables in line with project timelines, quality targets, and budget constraints.
  • Improve existing analytical methods by developing best practices, automating workflows, and streamlining processes.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and technical presentations for internal teams and clients.
  • Work independently while coordinating effectively with other engineering disciplines and project managers.
  • Collaborate closely with European offices to develop and enhance solutions, products, and offerings, and contribute to issue identification and resolution.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
  • Hands‑on experience with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Star CCM+, and / or OpenFOAM.
  • Experience with CAD / modeling tools (e.g., CATIA) or meshing / preprocessing tools (e.g., ANSA) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote, multicultural environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
  • Passion for automotive engineering and simulation.
  • Eager to learn new software and simulation techniques.
  • Adaptable to working across different time zones.
  • Working style is responsible, organized and proactive.
