Job Summary
The Trade Systems Analyst will be responsible for managing and enhancing trade compliance systems, ensuring accurate tracking of customer accounts, licenses, and shipment statistics. This role involves close collaboration with Customer Operations and the Trade Legal Compliance (TLC) team to maintain and automate trade-related processes and enforce compliance with import / export regulations and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Account & License Management
Track customer accounts and monitor license countdowns to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Customer Operations to analyze and maintain historical shipment statistics.Publish quarterly trade statistics for TLC audits and reporting.Trade Systems Maintenance & EnhancementMaintain and optimize trade management systems including GTM (Global Trade Management) and Descartes in partnership with TLC.
Develop and improve manual processes to address TLC mandates, transitioning these to automated workflows where feasible.Conduct routine entity screenings using Descartes to ensure compliance with sanctions and trade policies.System Configuration & Compliance EnforcementConfigure, maintain, and enhance GTM to implement trade blocks, including :
Malaysia import / export permitsUS license requirementsEntity listings and sanctionsCustom blocks for Altera and other regulatory requirementsManage release order holds related to valuation approvals and license utilization monitoring.Enforce country of origin (COO) regulations and product marking standards.Process Improvement & AutomationIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes to improve efficiency and compliance accuracy.Work cross-functionally with TLC, Customer Ops, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless trade system operations.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.Proven experience in trade compliance, trade systems administration, or supply chain operations.Strong knowledge of trade compliance regulations, import / export licensing, and sanctions screening.Hands-on experience with GTM, Descartes, or similar global trade management software.Ability to analyze and improve manual and automated processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.Preferred Skills
Experience working with TLC or trade compliance teams.Familiarity with Malaysia import / export permits and US licensing requirements.Knowledge of entity screening and sanctions enforcement tools.Job Details
