Responsibilities

  • Assist Finance & Account department in full set of account (AP / AR / GL / CC / Treasury).
  • Assist in optimising or improvising decision making and ensure the business results accurately reflect the business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO9001 and ISO 14001 integrated management system.
  • Responsible for the monthly accounts closing in a timely manner.
  • Handle intercompany confirmation before closing.
  • Prepare AR / AP aging reports, perform reconciliations and prepare monthly journals, i.e accruals, prepayments, provisions, etc.
  • Prepare monthly reports for calculation of provision debts, fixed assets closing (addition, write off & disposal and accurate depreciation calculation), fixed asset register (ensure completeness of fixed assets records), and sales cut‑off and breakdown reports for superior review.
  • Assist in preparing cash flow projection and report.
  • Monitor petty cash and payment due date, perform monthly bank reconciliation, prepare / check payment vouchers and cash vouchers summary reports for verification from superior.
  • Improve days sales outstanding (DSO) by enhancing collection methods.
  • Monitor payment received from debtors, consistent follow up and send reminders for payment delays, overdue receivables and take appropriate action to solve payment overdues.
  • Monitor and schedule payments to vendors effectively.
  • Assist superior in liaising with Sales Team on matters derived from legal actions (goods return, installment payment schedule etc.), check documents to submit to lawyer for legal action, liaise and follow up with lawyer on any pending litigation cases.
  • Prepare CP58 computation and check staff claims for superior review and verification.
  • Fully responsible for sales tax exemption, K1 draft, SST computation and timely submission.
  • Assist superior in liaising with external stakeholders, i.e bankers, auditors, tax agent during audits.
  • Other related jobs assigned by superior.

Requirements

  • Degree, Diploma, partial qualification in professional certification in Finance & Account (e.g. ACCA / CPA), Banking or related fields.
  • At least 5 years experience in account and finance as Senior Executive.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email) and exposure to ERP system preferred.
  • Work well under pressure in a timely manner.
  • Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia required.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
