Role

Reporting to the Middle Office Accounting Manager, the Middle Office accounting senior analyst is responsible for a range of Middle Office accounting and valuations activity, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, policies and guidelines and timely completion of accurate Net Asset Valuations.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in Middle Office accounting with proven Middle Office accounting skills, and the ability to ensure all deliverables within the Service Level Agreements are met. They will have a strong “hands on” operational focus and is expected to optimize effectiveness and efficiency in operational delivery.

What you’ll do

• We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Middle Office Accounting Senior Analyst - C10 - Hybrid (Internal Job Title : Middle Office Accounting Senior Analyst - C10 (Hybrid) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• Provide timely delivery of transaction processing for custody settlement and Middle Office accountants in the preparation of net asset valuation reports to fulfill internal and external obligations.
• Review exceptions raised and resolve those applicable to role responsibility. Escalate those not applicable timely to supervisor.
• Develop strong client relationships, resolve client queries timely and accurately.
• Proactively manage SLAs / KPIs, escalating any issues internally / externally as required. Champion a culture of collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of client requirements.
• Own and take responsibility for issues and resolution to closure.
• Monitor errors, complaints and near misses. Record as appropriate in the Incident log.
• Ensure documentation exists for any client-specific procedures.
• Act as technical and knowledge resource to the team / business unit.
• Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products.
• Support projects to optimize operational efficiency and improve quality.
• Assist with planning and support of all relevant project work.
• Set and maintain standards of personal and professional performance / behavior; ensuring accountability and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Deputise for Middle Office Accounting supervisor as required.
• Coaching and supporting other team members.
• Initiate and streamline processes relating to controls, productivity and regional service enhancements.
• Identify and resolve business / technical issues together with ASPAC branches and system support group.
• Monitor, track and evaluate transaction volume to provide monthly STP analysis and MIS reporting.
