Energy Manager ( Facilities and Industrial Engineering)

Alor Gajah District, Malacca, Malaysia

Overview

Energy Manager responsible for collecting and analyzing energy consumption data, implementing and monitoring Energy Management Systems (EnMS), producing Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EE&C) reports, and coordinating facility energy projects. Works with production, engineering and safety teams to ensure smooth facilities improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data on energy consumption by the energy consumer.
  • Ensure that the energy consumer implements, monitors EnMS, and prepares EE&C (Energy Efficiency & Conservation) reports.
  • Ensure accuracy of information in EE&C reports and advise on energy-saving measures.
  • Manage energy management projects within projected time.
  • Manage overall 11kV electrical equipment and related systems including operation, maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and plan facility or building renovations and equipment installations.
  • Perform constant plant facility inspections to reduce building risk and identify improvements.
  • Work with other departments (production, engineering and safety) to ensure smooth operations for facilities improvement projects.
  • Any other task as determined by management.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, architecture or equivalent with 5-7 years’ experience.
  • BO 11KV Certificate holders and Electrical Chargeman BO certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga are an advantage.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to Facilities and Industrial Engineering is an advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Full-Time position available
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Alor Gajah.
