Overview

As an Accounts and Tax Supervisor at TBL & Associates, you will play an important role in supporting our clients with their accounting and tax compliance needs. This is a full-time position based in our Kepong, Kuala Lumpur office. Our office is opposite of United Point, near KTM Segambut Station and convenient in getting public bus, with bus stop in front of our office plaza. If driving, we pay your parking and toll to office.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting records for a diverse client base
  • Ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory submissions
  • Providing tax planning and advisory services to clients, including identifying opportunities for tax savings
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of accountants and tax professionals to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their unique financial and tax requirements, and developing tailored solutions
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, and advising clients accordingly
  • Participating in business development activities and contributing to the growth of the firm

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a reputable accounting or tax advisory firm
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW)
  • Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and regulations, as well as proficiency in tax planning and compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and provide strategic advice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of accounting or tax professionals
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant technology
