As a Supplier Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Lam, you will impact supplier manufacturing processes and products by designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance programs. You will design methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and finished products at our global suppliers’ locations. By analyzing production data, you will identify trends and partner with the supplier to resolve technical, quality and production challenges. Your expertise will help develop excellence in supplier product inputs supporting Lam's commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable products. What You’ll Do
Supplier Engineer in Thermal Interface Material is responsible for developing and ensuring suppliers compliance with Lam’s quality standards and driving continuous improvement in suppliers’ manufacturing processes. Identify, diagnose, and resolve supplier quality issues to achieve defined performance metrics such as First Pass Yield and Target Throughput. This includes conducting PFMEA, OMS verification and making decisions regarding defective materials. Develop supplier manufacturing & assembly processes and quality systems. This involves supporting new supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding processes, as well as performing supplier audits and First Article qualifications. Coordinate closely with Lam Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and suppliers to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor supplier performance and prepare reports on supplier qualification packages. Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders are required. Provide seamless interface with SET global commodity heads to account teams and other members of SET. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in managing technical programs and projects, preferably in the Semiconductor Industry and familiarity with evaluating new high performance materials, raw material testing and specifications, new product introduction, quality standards, and relevant industry certifications. Manufacturing experience specific to die cutting, material casting, thermal interface materials, laser cutting, water jet cutting, and CNC Machining will be an added advantage. Hands-on experience with solving complicated problems and project management; examples (e.g., 8D) preferred. Proficient in written and verbal communication (English). Preferred Qualifications
