Job Description Summary

Our Account Manager is expected to work closely with the respective Strategic Account Leader and play a strategic role in managing high impact opportunities within the sales channel vertical. The success of this role will rely largely on your ability to maintain key relationships, and lead the execution of critical processes within the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Strategic Relationships with Our Key Customer Accounts

Proactively engage with existing customers to maintain strategic relationships

  • Anticipate potential service problems and actively work towards addressing them
  • Consolidate related data on customer satisfaction to drive better solutioning and recommendations
  • Understand the assigned account’s strategic priorities and develop appropriate value-added programs with a focus on holistic solution selling
  • Ongoing Fulfillment and Delivery
  • Accountable for regular order-taking, fulfilment, and delivery post-conversion for assigned accounts

  • Provide insights on sales strategies to better meet customer needs, prioritising holistic solution selling
  • Manage Distributor Performance
  • Cultivate and build strategic relationships across distributors to ensure fulfilment of customer orders

  • Provide functional leadership to distributor salesforce teams in day-to-day demand generation
  • Train and motivate distributor salesforce teams
  • Provide Insights on Sales Landscape and Forecast
  • Provide insights to sales forecasts as inputs into demand planning and SIOP processes

  • Analyse sales and industry trends and make recommendations to the SAL to meet long-range planning needs
  • Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the clinical and life sciences markets with strong business acumen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Marketing / Biological / Medical Sciences / Medical Technology
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant sales and / or accounts management experience, preferably in a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare company
  • Preferably 3+ years of sales experience in public hospitals
  • Experience with Life Sciences and Medical Segment / Diagnostics and Medical Consumables Products / Hospital Labs
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence
  • Adaptable communicator able to work with all levels of staff / leadership (internal and external)
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Delivers a clear, compelling, and shared vision focused on customer delight
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused and results-oriented
  • Self-driven, with continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent command of Bahasa and English (written and spoken)
  • Note : BD prioritizes on-site collaboration; most roles require a minimum of 4 days in-office per week. Remote or field-based arrangements will be indicated in the job posting.
