Overview

Underwriting Manager (Life & Health Insurance) - Role based in Singapore. We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to join our client's Global Underwriting team. Reporting to the Section Head, GEC Underwriting, you will lead and guide a team of underwriters handling Life and Accident & Health (A&H) new business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and guide a team of underwriters in assessing new business applications for Life and Accident & Health insurance
• Oversee case distribution within the team and ensure service standards and KPIs are consistently met
• Manage appeals and escalations, making sound decisions on cases involving loadings, exclusions, postponements, or declines
• Provide case management support to financial representatives, including clear communication of underwriting decisions via e-meetings, calls, and emails
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure smooth operations within the department
• Undertake additional duties assigned by the Head of Department
