We are seeking a strategic-minded professional to drive marketing and communication efforts to position Maybank Investment Banking Group (Maybank IBG) as the leading, trusted voice in ASEAN capital markets.

The role ensures that efforts elevate our brand visibility, reputation and client engagement, and differentiate Maybank through impactful storytelling, digital presence, and thought leadership.

The right talent will have the agility and capability to translate Maybank Group’s purpose of Humanising Financial Services into compelling narratives; simplify research insights into engaging messages; and execute ideas that advance our business goals.

Equally comfortable leading from the front, managing multiple stakeholders, and navigating a matrix organisation, this leader thrives in a fast paced environment. You will be working closely with business leaders of Maybank IBG, Group Global Banking, Group Corporate Affairs, and Group Brand & Marketing.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide strategic direction for marketing and communications initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Design segment-driven campaigns to engage retail and institutional investors, large and mid-cap corporate and government clients, while tracking effectiveness.
  • Build marketing programmes around our research insights including sustainability thought leadership and ASEAN growth opportunities.
  • Curate and manage our flagship client events.
  • Manage marketing budgets and reporting.
  • Manage media relations, social media (mainly LinkedIn) pitches, and issues communication, with the capability to handle crisis situations with professionalism, and conduct media training.
  • Manage internal communications, townhalls and CSR activities.
  • Lead and coach team to achieve high-performance.

Requirements :

  • Wide experience in marketing, communications and / or branding including reputation management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with capital market regulatory and compliance requirements, and / or experience in B2B marketing, investment banking, fund management, investments, markets research, sustainability, corporate strategy, finance and financial journalism (preferably English media) is an advantage.
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in any field.
